Eric Nilla Easter Eggs w/ SD Rick and Mini Critters!

Hey everyone!  Happy Easter from Keshi Drop!

There's is nothing I like more than perfectly timed promotions and limited edition events involving our favorite keshi mini-figures.  Whether it's glittery orange Z.O.M.B.I.E.S. in the fall time or red, white, and blue Despairs in July, I really enjoy them all, and today's Easter offering from Eric Nilla is no different!

Shoot over to his web-store right now to pick up his Easter Egg capsules, but it won't just be full of candy!  You'll also find a SD Rick and some Mini Critter mini-figures in there as well!  That's pretty awesome!

Check it out here!  Thanks for stopping by!

Toy Break Is Back + 24 Hour Toy Break News!

If you haven't already seen it or heard about it, last night October Toys' weekly toy show on Youtube called Toy Break posted a brand spanking new episode.  Granted this is episode three-hundred and something, but this actually the first one released since Christmas last year.  Those following the brand on social media will know they were on vacation in Japan, and as stated in the video, it's been the first time in close to ten years they've had a good vacation from work and everything associated.

You really can't blame them, but I for one, was really starting to put together that tinfoil hat and started to worry about if they'd ever get back.  The thing was, unless you were following them, there was really no updates.  Missing a few weeks around the holidays is pretty much the norm for business and shows, but with each passing months, I was wondering if October Toys enjoyed the time away more and more.  Thankfully I was wrong.

They didn't just return to form with updates and reviews, but they actually announced they will still be holding their 24 Hour Toy Break event this year, just a little later than usual.  It will begin Friday, April 1st, at 5pm PST and be going until Saturday, April 2nd, at 5pm PST.  Very awesome and I'm excited!

There wasn't any word about limited edition releases for the 24 Hour event, but I wouldn't be surprised if something like that was announced soon.  Keep an eye out for sure!

Convention Champions Super7 Retains With More MUSCLE!

Toy Fair 2016 ended a few weeks ago, but news and updates from the convention are still surfacing.  Pixel Dan on Youtube recently posted a video discussing and showing off the planned Super7 products expanding on their MUSCLE license.  If you're a toy enthusiast or collector, I'm sure you already know of Pixel Dan, but if you haven't checked his stuff out, I implore you to search him out on Youtube.  His stuff is so on point and it's pretty wild to see what his connections and ambition gets him in the toy making world.

Anyway, about the new MUSCLES coming out!  As everyone knows, the Masters of the Universe will be seeing their colorful trash can set come around soon, but it looks like other classic 80's franchises are getting some love too.  Granted, there's not much to show from a lot of them, but things are being planned and mapped out to expand their MUSCLE keshi figures into Alien, Robotech, Street Fighter II, Ghosts N' Goblins, and Mega Man.

Holy crap this is exciting news, and you have to figure, if these guys won the San Diego Comic Con, they came right back and won it all over again at the Toy Fair.  Without exaggeration, I feel this is monumental, and not for my own wallet and personal collection.  These are five more beloved franchises, franchises with hordes of loyal fans, that are now going to be introduced to keshi mini-figures and the MUSCLE brand.  If the keshi community ever wanted to see a tide of new hobbyists, artists, and collectors enjoy their love in keshi mini-figures, this announcement might be the launching off point.

Wow!  Just wow!  Great job, Super7!

Rise of the Beasts Misses Goal + Other Woes!

As some people may already know, the amount of funding Rise of the Beasts was aiming for on Kickstarter for their second series did not succeed.  It was quite the hefty amount, but there was a ton of value in the project, and I could have sworn there would have been enough support.  Maybe this one could have been chalked up to the high goal, but the latest OMFG Kickstarter succeeded with a very similar one.  I don't know.  I'm kind of scratching my head with this one, and bummed out.

Also, from my previous post, I was hoping the two teased Punk Drunker collaboration figures would be keshi mini-figures.  Maybe it was false hope or maybe a long shot, but indeed, they were sofubi vinyl and a let down for my particular tastes.

And finally, where is October Toys and Toy Break?  I know they have recently enjoyed a tour around Japan, but aside on little snippets here and there on Instagram, we really haven't really seen or heard from them in full-force since Christmas.  This is even more peculiar considering this time last year was their 24 Hour Toy Break event that's always fun for fans and collectors.  I'm sure everything is fine, but it's still a bummer so little is happening.

So, it's been a lackluster late winter/early spring for 2016, but hopefully that changes very soon!  Let's stay patient and optimistic!
