A Look at DesignerCon 2018 Keshi Exclusives!

Courtesy of Isumark of MWOTR (Instagram)
Welcome back to U&R!  We were just speaking of DesignerCon 2018, so let's keep that topic going with some more talk before the big designer toy event of the year rocks the west coast.  Here are just a few exclusives that caught my eye, but I know there are even more eluding me.  Let's take a look!

The first is from none other that Mystical Warriors of the Ring.  They have been quietly working on something as of late, and this announcement of this limited run of Tatsuya resins in blue and green hope to make it worth the wait.  And from the teaser picture, it appears there will be clear and metallic version available as well, but there is no way of actually knowing unless you visit them personally at Booth 2528.

The next feature comes from Robo Toy Fest, who hosts a convention of their own under the same name.  They seem free next week, so along with their attendance, they are bringing some hot robot action.  Hot pink robot action to be exact.   The RTF Robo Keshi is touching down at Booth 305 and this guy could be the sleeper sell-out of the weekend.  Only the second variant of this particular model, the dark green one that came prior instantly sold-out, so there is some indication this might follow suit.  I personally love this guy and will be hoping to mule this one home.  Hot pink.  Robots.  Exclusive and rare.  Gimme gimme gimme, and I sadly lost out on the green one, so this is my redemption song.

Our next comes from independent artists Eric Nilla and Nama Niku.  This collaboration is a beautiful kit-bashed bootleg deathmatch set, including two familiar kaiju monsters, now with some nicely oiled abs and thighs, and a ring to contain all their violent break-outs.  If you love the odd, strange, inventive, and independent, dropping by Booth 2325 might be something on your convention agenda.

Courtesy of PlanetXAsia (Instagram)
This final colorful look comes the far off distant world of Planet-X.  These rubber rainbow variants will be blind bagged in a set of five, with other figures not pictured here, with the whole mystery set only costing you twenty clams.  That's quite the steal for variants that could very well be looking at one-of-a-kind status.  Luckily Planet-X isn't as far away as first thought, you can visit Booth 1243 to get your very own.

Alright everyone, that's the batch for this update, but if I find more, expect me to come back and share what I find out!  Thank you and I'll see you guys next time!

Shadow Mordles Drop! Mystical Warriors of the Ring Leak!

What's going on, everyone?  First off, thanks a ton for all the positive feedback on my previous post.  It always means a lot to me that people are reading my work and are entertained by it.  By some cosmic miracle of unknown science, I somehow didn't fall face-first into any controversy with it.  I certainly didn't expect my writing to be as clear and precise about things, but I suppose major points were covered clear enough.  Although I could have handled whatever that came my way, it's a relief not having to do the extra work.  Instead I can move forward to new updates like today's pair of keshi news.

The first part of today's update come from our friends at Mystical Warriors of the Ring.  They have been a little silent this winter, but it didn't take them too long after the new year to make their presence known with their plans for anthropomorphic professional wrestling.  Last year, they shared news and some design images of their new massive shark character, but out of the gate, we're seeing what this new heavyweight looks like ripping itself from it's mold.  Maybe this glittery blue resin plays perfectly to this type of character, but you can't help but get excited about this new addition to the roster, and you can't help but mention what an awesome piece he's turning out to be in what looks like a single mold.  Menacing shoulders, clenched fists, and an expression to do some real harm, this guy is what it means to take the classic keshi fundamentals found in series like Kinnikuman and give them life in 2018.

Expect more Mystical Warriors of the Ring news and updates as it happens, but of course, visit their main website for extra information and the web-store to start wrestling now.

http://mystwarriors.com/blog/

Following up that comeback story, we have another one not taking their time with the new year.  From the people at Toyfinity, they've announced a long-awaited drop for new releases of both their Mordles and Glyos figures.

Dropping tonight at 9 pm EST, two new colorway sets are going to be available to be added to your collection.  First, there is the army-green sort called the Guardian Darkness Soldiers and there is the glittery smoke Shadow Warriors, both of which will fill the ranks of your evil regiment just fine.  Like other Mordles, these will around the 1'' to 1.5'', so they will work well with Trash Pack and Grossery Gang figures or a swarm of mini nuisances for other toys on your shelf.

MWOTR Teases Something From The Deep!

Welcome back, everyone, to the Keshi Drop!  Today I've got some interesting and exciting news from the universe of professional wrestling anthropomorphic animals.  That's right, the crew of Mystical Warriors of the Ring have made their Spring 2017 presence know with quite the interesting teaser image on social media.

Looking to possibly stack up against their other heavyweights, this character certainly introduces the power of a great white shark into the mix.  And with other clues that the kayfabe wrestling landscape will be radically altered in the near future, you have to wonder if that revolves around this new beast.  Regardless, it's always exciting to see another character introduced to the MWOTR world.

It's hard to tell whether there is plans to keep this shark character in a single piece or part him out within their Evolution brand.  From the shadowy picture, you can't really make a judgement either way.  However, it seems like the team has been toeing that line as of late with both Cero and Talos mini-figures seeing single-mold resin casts.  It does pose the question if final PVC production of them will be multi-parted, but if this trend continues, we could very well expect to see single-molded resin sharks, at the very least.  But that's why teasers are made, they stir up interest and have you wondering what's coming next, and that's exactly what I suggest.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring Gear Up For Designer Con!

Designer Con is only just over a week away, and with that, fans and collectors will have a chance to check out all the great art and designer toys of various platforms.  I'll be honest, there hasn't been much of a keshi presence or at least a stir of one for Designer Con so far.  There have been plenty of news for sofubi, action figures, and the like, but not as much as I expected from slug mini-figures, but luckily Mystical Warriors of the Ring have been a welcomed exception to that.

It's been no mystery that the MWOTR camp has been working diligently towards this release for Designer Con, so it's really no surprise that they could very well be leaving the convention with the proverbial championship belt.

Earlier this fall, they has a preview release for Cero, and within moments he was completely sold out.  Now with higher quantities, does Cero have it in him to be a knock-out for a second round?  Looking at the four preview pictures released on social media, I think there is a good shot.  Metallics and GITD's are always a fan-favorite, so it may just be a matter of getting enough eye balls on the rhino to get him in the hands of new and old fans, alike.

Check back for more information on Designer Con and more exclusives, but it never hurts to visit the source, so please click on the links below.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring Cero Drop Announced!

We've been teased and tantalized.  We've been whipped and spanked.  We've been... no, this is escalating too quick. We haven't been taken that far.  But we have been looking forward to the word of when the Designer Con previews would be hitting the interwebs, and that moment has finally... arrived.  Yes, arrived.  That's a good word.

If you're lucky enough to live around the Pasadena area for Design Con next month, or first class enough for the plane ticket, well aren't you special.  You would be getting the first look on this drop, but maybe not this time.  This time goes out for the less fortunate, like myself and the rest of the stinky, homeless, bums of the keshi community, shucking mini-figures under trench-coats.

Yo!  Psst!  C'mere!  I gots the good stuff right here.  I got that Mark V. stuff!  You know, the real good stuff.  All kinds of it, my dude.  Resin!  Urethane!  PVC!  Keshi!  Bro, I got it all: glows in the dark, shines in the sun, see-thru, don't see-thru.  Whatever you need, you know I got your hook-up.

Some days that only feels like a slight exaggeration.

But what's not an exaggeration is that you know MWOTR always makes a great product for a fair price.  If you can't make it to the convention, this Friday is your day.  Noon, central time, all sorts of mini-figures will be going live on the Mystical Warriors of the Ring web-store.  Of course, Cero the Rhino is the main attraction, but it appears he won't be on this card alone.  With him, or maybe against him, is Talos the Bull, Barker the Referee, and Molie the Interviewer, all in new variants.

And if you haven't heard me tell you before, you don't want to sleep on this one.  Even if you're missing the convention and thinking this is your relaxed, easy route to these exclusives, you still have to be right there the very moment these all drop.  I would not be surprised if these all sold out within hours, so be vigilant.

Obliterate your F5 key here!

MWOTR Cero the Rhino D-Con Prototypes + Web Sale!

If you've been creeping around the bushes of MWOTR Headquarters like your Crazy Uncle SpiderEarth you've been noticing a lot of work lately, preparing for Designer Con happening Mid-November in California.  You've seen a lot of this and that, and if you weren't to careful, you may have lost your foot or some other appendage in a silicone mold.  It's a vicious world out there, and sometimes only the strong survive.

But getting to serious business, a lot of the business surrounding the camp has been about getting their newest character ready, and as you can see, he's no easy task.  Cero the Rhino is looking to be a monster release, as as you can see, as I first thought, this massive mini-figure is one big solid slug of resin gorgeousness.  Whether or not these are previews for an official Glyos-compatible production sometime down the road, I am not sure, but right now you can't look at these guys and not be impressed.

You see larger scale mini-figures move to other formats when the size gets too large.  Whether that's vinyl or sofubi, it always seems to take away from the initial design and concept single cast mini-figures create.  You've seen it with Electric Monarchy earlier this year.  You can accomplish something big, chunky, and beautiful without having to move from the medium, and I think Mystical Warriors of the Ring is doing just that with this character.

And as great as it is to see this guy get fleshed out for his Designer Con launch, there is talk about an online sale for fans and collectors prior or during Designer Con, who can't make it to the convention - maybe something a certain island country that does a lot of amazing keshi should consider.  This is all speculation, but I feel with enough interest, it may just happen and the rhino will break free sooner than later.

As always, if you want more information or just to keep in the know, please follow the link below, and don't forget to take a look through their store front to see if anything catches your eye.  It's always a good idea to support creative minds.  Also, if you would be so kind, drop your email into the box on the side there to subscribe to all my nonsense and updates.

Mystical Warriors Of The Ring Reveal Cero The Rhino!

Even Goliath (left) is amazed at how good Cero (right) looks!
The crew at Mystical Warriors of the Ring have been busy brewing up some new things behind the scenes for Designer Con next month.  It's been a little teaser for this, a little teaser for that, and it's very hard to predict any of it because they always seem to have more than one surprise.

Maybe today's reveal cuts down on that a little, as the brand new mini-figure Cero the Rhino has taken it's first breath on The Interwebz. and what an attractive first look!

Look at the size comparison between him and Goliath and that classic arms-to-the-side MUSCLE/Kinnikuman pose.  Granted he's in black, but I'm not seeing any clear lines showing he's a multi-part figure.  Could he be one heavy-duty slug?  Wow, this guy would rocket up the wrestling rankings in my mind if that was the case, but I suppose only time will tell.  It's certainly has gained my attention, that's for sure.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring Reveal Designer Con Drop!

It's getting around that time.  The heat is beginning to cool off and the leaves are changing color.  It also means Designer Con is coming right around the corner, and with that, we will be getting some exciting news about new releases and convention exclusives.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring are out swinging and punching from the sound of the bell.  Released earlier today, they dropped an interesting look at one of their newest wrestling characters expanding on their Evolution line.

It's hard to tell solely from the image, but MWOTR has been working on a rhino character called Cero.  My hunch is that's what we're looking at, but more interestingly, is he coming alone?  This is the first time we've been teased with this character, yet there have been a few that have seen resin releases that haven't received the red carpet PVC like Goliath or an official set of mini-figures.

Is this where we seen some resin rhinos and some PVC bulls?  I think only Designer Con knows.

Mega Post-Kansas City Comic Con MWOTR Drop!

Hey, everyone!  My apologies if this comes off a little rushed and/or sloppy, but this one hit me out of left field.  There may have been an announcement somewhere, but I think I missed the memo.  That's on me, guys, but hopefully you're following everyone on social media as well and didn't get sidelined to the back of the line like me.

It appears the crew of Mystical Warriors of the Ring are back from KCCC, because live, at this very moment, everything they released there is now up for grabs online from their web-store.

That includes the two new colorways for Goliath, both in a lime green and an albino white, but also some rare pours of both Talos and Barker in various urethane colorways.  For fans of one-of-a-kind prototypes and very rare resins, these guys are the ones to grab up, but keep in mind, these are in very low supply, so you have to act very quick.  Maybe even the quickest, consider I'm so slow to the take today.

But do check out all the new mini-figures off their web-store.  Mystical Warriors of the Ring always makes a great product and they've always been kind to me.  Show them some love and support by checking out what they have to offer, and if you're interested, start you're very own mini-figure wrestling federation.

Leaked MWOTR Albino + Metallic Lime Goliaths For KCCC!

Hey, everyone, SpiderEarth back with just a quick news blurb.

A little while ago, the camp over at Mystical Warriors of the Ring have been teasing some announcements of plenty for their booth at the Kansas City Comic Convention coming August 12-14.  Part of the secrets were two mysterious colorways of the Goliath mini-figure.

MWOTR never suspected today one of their most confidential secrets would be leaked all over Instagram, but alas, it appears headquarters was hacked once again (It wasn't me this time!  I swear!) and now the cat's out of the bag about one of the coolest variants for Goliath.

A white colorway, SpiderEarth?  Big friggin' deal!

Fine, I'll take yours!  But really, it looks from the pictures it could be a shiny metallic white, more like a pearl than a flat white.  Also, some extra care and detail went into this white colorway.  To wrap up the whole package, Goliath has received red eye paint applications akin to other albino animals.  A cool little detail.

The second mysterious Goliath has not escaped the encrypted confides of Mystical Warriors of the Ring headquarters, but when it does, expect an update to this post or a new one.  Thanks for dropping by, and visit the links below for more information.

AUGUST 9th UPDATE:

The second elusive colorway has been revealed, and as shown it's a pretty rocking green with some flashy yellow metallics.  Another attractive colorway, I must say.

MWOTR Kansas City Comic Con Goliath and Title Belt Reveal!

Hey, everyone!  Just popping on real quick with some new information that I found rather interesting, and as it turns out, to be a slew of Mystical Warriors of the Ring reveals for KCCC.

Happening a little further away from San Diego and a little later, Kansas City Comic Con will be seeing the crew from Mystical Warriors of the Ring coming out in full-swing.

Lucky attendants to KCCC will be getting first whack at what the MWOTR crew has teased as two new Goliath variants, as well as some first looks at the Barker referee minifigure in the works as well as the championship titles in the works.  There's quite a lot in the pipe right now from these guys and I would not be surprised if we heard some word of what it all means sometime later this year.

MWOTR's Barker The Referee Says Hi To The Physical World!

A couple weeks ago, we saw a teaser picture of the referee Mystical Warriors of the Ring has been working on.  At that state, it was just rendered in a 3D program, but it gave us a pretty good look at the salty zebra they had in store, but now we are getting a clearer image in speedy succession.  They are obviously not messing around.

For those new to the line, the mini-figure in question today is the one in the black material, and for maybe his first steps in this material realm, he's looking pretty damn good!  Of course, only they know what material he was made with, but if this is still part of the prototype process, it's likely either a resin pour or a 3D output, although I can't make out any print lines.

Either way, this is a great little dude.  Every ring certainly needs their referee, but I think this guy has the potential to stand on his own.  The single mold is a strong look, and although I did enjoy Goliath and Talos looks like he's going to be fun, it's just not the same.  And look at that classic pose, with one hand in the air and one pointing.  Some may not appreciate it, but that brings me right back to all the vintage Kinnikuman/MUSCLE and gumball wrestler knockoffs, and that's got me on board for whatever they have lined up for us next.

MWOTR Teases 3D Prototype of Barker The Referee!

Welcome back to Keshi Drop everyone!  I know it's been a while, but the sweltering summer heat had melted my keyboard and now I finally found the means to communicate with you all directly through the matrix.  Now I only hope I know how to get out.  Actually, the truth is, although a ton of interesting news has been happening, I felt it was a lot of the same and not really interesting enough for me to scream from the tallest mountain.

Onion Fights, in recent news, has been showing off all sorts of new stuff, new molds, and new color variants, but really, you would have gotten the same story from me.  I would have told you how much I love this studio, how gorgeous all their miniatures are, and how they rule the roost in this keshi world.  None of that changes still, but I would have also said how virtually impossible it is to get any of their stuff without a plane ticket to Japan or some serious Ebay kung-fu.  And with that, I looked at all their updates and just said "No, not this time.  Meet us half way.  At least come to a convention in North America.  At least allow those in other countries to enjoy your work by order.  Stop being cowards and act like real galactic wrestlers and do a cross-promotion with Mystical Warriors of The Ring, for example.  America versus Japan.  Put your title on the line, and then I'll say something.  Then I'll say a lot."  And while I'm pumping myself up with the idea of that, I'm going to switch that towards today's news.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring has been on tour, crashing every convention within these summer months, so it's very shocking and exciting to see they have something in the works as well.  Even with their announcer miniature and Talos evolution figure being worked on, it looks like they are not alone.  Coming to your ring to receive a single blow and then fall motionless for minutes on end, Barker the dog referee was teased over social media today, showing off this rather interesting pose.  Is he holding someones hand up in victory or is he hitting the mat for the final three count?  Right now, it's all just speculation, but it's great to see the single-mold characters getting love too.

What do you guys think?  Does this officially chime the coming of MWOTR Wave 3?  And are Onion Fights the biggest cowards in the world for not challenging MWOTR?  Or you know think they just know America is better and will always win?  Let me know by commenting below!

MWOTR Release Urethane Casts of Ring Rookie Talos!

Readers of Keshi Drop would be somewhat accustomed to my coverage of all things Mystical Warriors of the Ring, so when I find I completely whiffed and missed something by a good week or so, I am just as shocked and stunned as you are.

Talos the giant bull wrestler has been in development as the second offering in the Mystical Warriors of the Ring: Evolution line, that showcases the larger and meaner characters in their world.  Like Goliath the gator before him, eventually Talos will see an official release in PVC with Glyos-compatible removable and interchangeable joints, but before that day comes, we can satisfy the keshi purist inside us and enjoy massive Talos in one clean cast in urethane.

On sale now, at the Mystical Warriors of the Ring online store, you can buy two different urethane Talos offerings.  One is a dyed bone look and the other being a slime green, but both are looking pretty gnarly.  And for 30-35 clams, that's not a bad asking price for how much beef you're getting.

Check them out!

MWOTR Evolution Talos Prototype Leak Part Three!

A lot of work and effort is going behind the eventual release of the second Evolution minfigure.  We've been getting a lot of behind the scenes teasers and inside looks, and it's becoming increasingly apparent why.  This guy is a monster!

Teased with the removable championship title, this picture of Talos was just recently released across social media with implications that he will be making an appearance in some form or another later this month at Designer Con.

It's still very hard to say where in the production Talos lies, but with each look we get he's getting more cleaner, fleshed out, and ready to rumble.  But of course, follow Mystical Warriors of the Ring on Facebook and Instagram, as well as dropping by their website and online store for more goodness.  And if you need more Keshi Drop updates, use the tool on the sidebar to follow all the ramblings!

MWOTR Evolution Goliath Metallic Red Variant Review!

Welcome back, everyone!  Again, I apologize for the little break there, but it's always good to have a step away when things are pretty slow in the keshi world.  It's certainly good to recharge those batteries sooner than later, because Designer Con is at the end of this month and I know we will have plenty of news and drops to discuss very soon.

Today, however, we have the newest Goliath color variant from Mystical Warriors of the Ring.  It's an attractive metallic red, reminiscent of the metallic green and black variants of past drops, and just like those variants, the mix between a solid pigment and a wave of metallic shine is very nice.  I think the most appealing thing about this guy is how rare solid metallic red variants are in minifigure lines.  I don't readily recall many other keshi out there in this colorway, so this guy, if nothing else, stands on his own as a unique little guy.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring always makes some pretty solid minifigures, so go to the link below and check out all their products, like this guy and many others.  Also, for more Keshi Drop ramblings follow all the updates by using the tool on the sidebar there.

Surprise! MWOTR Evolution Goliath Red Colorway Drop!

Hot off the press, Mystical Warriors of the Ring is releasing an unannounced variant of the Evolution Goliath minifigure.  Well, I suppose it's announced now, but this was somehow squeezed in all news and releases coming to Designer Con.

This ruby red looking gator won't be hitting a convention however, but the MWOTR webstore, like before, and along side him, more resin variants of Molie in a sort of army green.

Expect these drops to hit Friday, October 30th at 12pm noon CST, so check out the links below to snag one.  Also don't forget to use the tool on the side there to follow Keshi Drop and get all the updates emailed to you.

Mystical Warriors of the Ring: Mystery Solved!

Luckily, I know my readers.  Luckily, I know I can come back here and say something like "Alright, gang, you know Crazy Uncle SpiderEarth has a couple screws loose, right?" and none will be too shocked.  Luckily, I can rely on these things, because Mystical Warriors of the Ring revealed their cryptic messages and plans for Designer Con and I couldn't have been more wrong with the guesses I made before.

Whoops!

The good thing is, however, the true reveal is actually pretty exciting still.  It was certainly more surprising, which is never a bad thing.

Coming to Designer Con, guests can partake in exclusive sets of Series One, Series Two, and the Goliath figure all in a MUSCLE Flesh Pink colorway.  Some people have noted that Series One has seen a 'flesh tone' variant already, but this release has more of a pink hue to it and compares closer to the classic MUSCLE figures.  I suppose if you need to classify the older flesh set to a classic MUSCLE variant, I would call the previous flesh a 'salmon' tone instead.

This variant is pretty fun and exciting!  I'll surely been hitting up my mule sources, and I suggest you do the same if you can't make it to Pasadena, California, November 21st & 22nd.  For more info, check out the links below, and for more crazy Keshi Drop ramblings and incorrect guessery from yours truly subscribe to the blog by using the tool on the side there.

MWOTR: Evolution Talos Prototype Leaks Part Two!

It looks like Talos has fallen into the hands of The Godbeast.  Released earlier this morning, better detailed pictures of the upcoming second figure of the Mystical Warriors of the Ring: Evolution, Talos the bull.

As it's a good-looking prototype to see coming along, it's also great news to see the figure this far into production.  Fans of MWOTR know that The Godbeast is their closer and double-checker.  He gets all the prototypes and put them under his microscope before they hit mass production.  I think many of us are surprised to see Talos this far along in his creation.

With news of the mass production model coming out, it appears some resin versions will be showing up at Designer Con this year as well.  This energetic red bull popped up this afternoon with some notice that he'll be attending in some capacity.  At this time, we can only speculate if that's just to show off or any resin prototypes will be for sale, but when news occurs, I'll certainly share it.

Production updates aside, I think we can all see this guy is going to be one impressive minifigure.  I really became a big fan of the Goliath releases all this year, but I feel this one might beat that champion.  For more news and updates, follow the The Godbeast and Mystical Warriors of the Ring on their websites and on social media.

MWOTR: Evolution Talos Prototype Leak!

More information regarding Mystical Warrior of the Ring's releases for this November's Designer Con in Pasadena, California, has surfaced.

This just in:  wax is fragile!

This also just in!  It appears Talos the bull, just as we suspected, would be following in Goliath's footsteps in the MWOTR: Evolution line.  The multi-part glyos-compatible minifigure is being worked on and it appears to be in some prototype phase.  How far along is yet to be discovered, but the picture released indicates he's made it at least into the third dimension.

I had recently covered a cryptic message from Mystical Warriors of the Ring some may remember.  I had made a few guesses as to what it means, and although this announcement seems to present a whole new lot of information, I still stand by my original guesses.  I feel this bit of news is super excited and a bonus, but overall unrelated.  If I could make a slight adjustment to my guesses now with this, it's just the inclusion of Talos with some announcement or tease of Series Three.

What do you guys all think?

Also, who do you think would win between Talos and Goliath?  Let me know with a comment below.
