Electric Monarchy Goes Sleazy With New Bukkake!

Go on, Google Electric Monarchy right now and tell me what comes up.  Okay, well it's not nothing.  It's still a few articles here and there, some leading back to the blog, but that's besides the point.  The point is your basic protein-based Pokemon is evolving into it's next form.  God, that sounded a lot less gross in my head.

Currently deep within it's cocoon, lies the twisting and throbbing remains of Electric Monarchy, writhing it's body parts and fluids into a new focus and brand moving into the new year.  You can find glimpses of it now, quickly patched over the now re-branded Electric Monarchy Instagram account.  The name given to this new emerging abomination, dripping it's filth onto the world, is called Sleaze.

News like this can be unsettling for some who don't care much for change.  I can certainly fall into that camp, along with avid collectors who much rather collect full production lines until the sun goes supernova than start something new, but I can say, with some certainty, is that it's just a re-branding of sorts.  The impression I'm getting is that moving forward, customers and collectors will get a better sense of the world and vision of Sleaze as a more focused concept.

I think there is no better way to convey this than to bring back an old favorite in a new flavor.  Collaborating with illustrator and comic book artist, Russell Taysom, Sleaze is releasing the neon green Nuclear Bukkake.  I dont have the exact date of time when you can befall onto the online shops, but talk around the water cooler would indicate the team is working on a late January release, however I wouldn't take that as gospel quite yet.  I'll update this post when I have a more exact time frame.

Electric Monarchy & Tru:Tek Ready For A Bit of Ultraviolence!

I return momentarily from the exhausting baby readying process, to share some new updates on the mini-figure that I'm beginning to suspect got my girlfriend pregnant.

Welcome back, everyone, to Keshi Drop.  I swear, like every time, that I won't be away so long, but believe it or not, we're looking at the last three months or so until we have a mini SpiderEarth rampaging this earth.  God help us.  And how time as flew by already.  Hopefully this pace continues through the 'elbows deep in baby poop' phase.  I have no need for that to be longer than it needs to be, but that's not what we're here about.  Today is a day for Bukkake.  Sure, that's a sentence.

Bukkake, for those who don't know but hopefully know enough not to enjoy this piece from the wrong side of the Internet, but you know what, do whatever, is a keshi mini-figure that I can barely call mini anymore.  This monstrous abomination of seminal fluid is a 3D juggernaut, eclipsing other keshi figures in your collection.  He's been released in his god-intended white color variant, flesh, and is looking to fitting in a purple sometime soon too.  But now you can add an attractive neon orange to that too.  Dubbed the Cockwork Orange variant, this one will be an exclusive sold only by the state-side Tru:Tek, who has actually been a part of this mini-figure's production anyway.

I'm not saying dealing with Electric Monarchy hasn't been a blast, but I've ordered two Bukkakes and my girlfriend got pregnant.  Coincidence?  I don't know, but I starting to suspect my wild friends in Germany are up to no good.  Plus, for us fans and collectors on this side of the ocean, expect cheaper freight.  To my knowledge, Tru;Tek is a filthy American pig-dog, so hooray for us!

The exact date and time this nasty little thing will be dropping is still on the "sometime soon" front, but you know, when I find out, I'll be updating this post to let you all know too.

Alright, thanks everyone for stopping by and reading my babble.  Until next time, have fun and support your independent artists out there.

Electric Monarchy! Greeendayo! Toy Geeks: BTC!

Hey, everyone, welcome back to Keshi Drop!  I'm flying in here before the workload gets anymore huge and backed-up.  Hopefully nothing feels too old, because I feel a lot of great stuff is coming out or being worked on, and if I don't just share all the excitement now, it'll pass me by.

Firstly, on the docket, the crew at Electric Monarchy has been super busy.  Not only has Bukkake been announced to having a purple colorway variant called Purple Rain, but a select number of Pug Burger pictures of test pulls have surfaced over social media.  Another Bukkake is great news, and hopefully purple is the missing piece in a lot of collections out there, but the production news and updates of Pug Burger has me very curious.

Seeing this dude in physical form, while still not in-hand, seems a lot less menacing that I had first assumed.  That's what you get with me, if you haven't learned that already.  I get psyched up pretty easy and try to find little details about things.  I yank on some string I feel is crucial to the whole work, hoping the whole sweater comes undone and I've discovered some secret.  More often than not, I'm just wrong, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate this guy.  I just feel this guy, more than I expected, falls into the laps of fans and collectors of Madballs and all the keshi, resin, and vinyl mini-figures that have come out inspired by them.

Hey, that's completely cool and there is certainly a market for that.  In fact, I believe I had one or two Madballs growing up, phrasing?, but as cool as I remember it being, I don't think it resonated to me as much as other things, even despite how it feels like it should have in retrospect.  I remember it being a foam ball with paint applications, and after months of hard squishing, I think it sort of fell apart and I focused on other toys.  Other fans and collectors, I am sure, have different stories to tell, so I hope they give Pug Burger a chance to recapture some of that.  I certainly will be interested, even if it's not the wildly offensive and disgusting keshi of my dreams.

Another interesting piece I came across comes from Japan via Instragram.  I do apologize, I know very little about this piece, the people behind it, and any release information.  But I just wanted to share a look at something that caught my eye, and something I really do what to know more about.  From username Greeendayo on Instagram, this Tiger Mask mini-figure looks gorgeous.  It's a very well done piece indeed, with stout stature and chubby proportions, the piece looks brilliant and fierce standing on it's own.  Fans of Mystical Warriors of the Ring, as well as just Kinnikuman in general, need to look this guy up and see what's happening with this guy.  From what I am surmising his the artist's blog, I am reading that this guy is coming out for the 2017 Winter Festival, but I could easily be wrong about that.  I Really enjoy this guy in both muscle flesh tone and black.  If anyone has any more information about this mini-figure or even just the artist or company involved or release info, please leave me a comment or email me.  Thanks!

And my final piece of news and excitement today is a new toy show happening on YouTube.  It's called Toy Geeks: Behind the Counter, and although it's new, a lot seems very familiar if you've been around the American toy world in the last few years.  It's curiously starring a good chuck of the Toy Break crew, which might naturally lead into some behind the scenes speculation, but that's nowhere I want to go or worry about.  That sort of stuff tends to happen when it comes with teams and crews of all sorts, so there's no need to pry into personal matters and whatnot.  I'm just glad the toy scene is still reaching out and creating excitement with their fans.  Episode 1 of the show was quite entertaining, if not a little shorter than I expected, but production levels were distinctively improved.  I would suggest you follow the link below, give it a watch, and subscribe for further volumes.  Granted there wasn't any keshi on the show, but that's where we come in.  We gotta' make our voices heard and have them ogle at all sorts of keshi mini-figures, and with George right there, I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a difficult coup.

Okay, that's all for me today!  Thanks a lot of dropping by and reading my words.  Sorry this is more or less a check-out-the-cool-things-I-found update, but this might be a trend in the following months until I know I can hit up the computer reliably.  I hope that's cool, but if it's not, you furiously huck your mini-figures through my windows.  A part of me won't even mind.

Electric Monarchy To Drop Flesh Variant Bukkake!

What's going on, everyone?  Welcome back to the old rantings and ramblings of your almost-favorite toy blogger.  It's been a busy season and a colder month, with this weekend turning out to be one of the more droptastic.  One reason it's turning out to be is the news that those cool kids in Germany are releasing a brand new variant for one of this years most sought after and controversial mini-figures this year.

Loyal readers will remember Keshi Drop being on the front line, or the Splash Zone, if I can get that trademarked, for Electric Monoarchy's glow-in-the-dark mini-figure called Bukkake.  Yours truly was there one day numero uno, back before this glowing beast was brightening up social media.  I was there before Toy Break awkwardly and disappointingly threw shade at the gross little guy...  I mean, despite their family of fecal, vomit, and trash monsters.  I was there before the line was supposedly drawn at ejaculate. I'm getting off track.  I suppose I'm saying all this because I couldn't be more excited and supportive of Bukkake's second whack at spreading it's love across our keshi community and across the world.

For those who ever wondered where the cloudy white original mini-figure came from, the answer may be included in it's second release, now... coming... December 11th 12am EST.  Taking it's first stomps in it's classic flesh-tone skin, this dripping abomination of your wildest black-out memories will be returning for old fans and new alike.   For those who joined in with the party of the first release, this is be an opportunity to expand your twisted desires, and for those who couldn't guess the filthy password at the door, it's a second chance to score.

You know the place and the day, so follow the men and women in long overcoats when they pass you in the dark and shady-looking alleyway.  I'm sure that's the crowd you want.  And of course, for more information, follow Electric Monarchy on social media and visit the website below.

Electric Monarchy Teases Figure 02 "Pug Burger"!

This week has been a blitzkrieg of keshi excitement.  Earlier this week, we saw the announcement of the new Kinkeshi series coming out next February, and today Electric Monarchy has released a teaser image showing off their second figure, following one of my favorite mini-figures this year.

Dubbed "Pug Burger" by artist Ulises Farinas, this rather nonthreatening black and white picture does actually strike a bit of dread and worry in me.  I know this is happy-go-lucky Keshi Drop and we're just talking about toys here, but I know Electric Monarchy and they don't hold back.  If they have a message or a statement to covey, you'll feel it like a brick to the head, and how this teaser is almost sneaking by innocently with it's plain white box with black lettering has me wondering exactly how little this exposes.

Allow Crazy Uncle SpiderEarth to go on a tangent and speculate a couple things.  I feel most artists have quite a bit attention to detail and everything presented serves a purpose and meaning.  I look at this white burger box, and this may sound funny or stupid, but I honestly get that bad feeling in my stomach like you're too far into something horrific.

You see, I feel product design and, in particular, a fast food box in general will try to convince you you made the right choice, even before you've taken the first bite.  There is a myriad of ways to accomplish this: from bright colors, cheerful pictures, to reassuring text like '100% Organic' or 'No High Fructose Corn Syrup'.  There are people employed to big corporations and fast food chains whose job it is to make sure products look completely one-hundred percent safe, without defect, and that burgers comprised of fifty cows are still extremely delicious.

I point this all out because this white box does absolutely none of that, whatsoever, and completely on purpose.  Extrapolate from that and you have a mystery mini-figure inside that is, instead, the focal point.  With no damage control or reassurance, whatever is in the box is speaking for itself, and I, for one, am not completely convinced just because it's a pug means it'll be more cute.

Maybe it's just me.  You know I have a way of over-thinking things and twisting myself around a conspiracy theory or two, but if you're feeling a little uneasy, but excited all the same, I'm right there with you.  Maybe their first mini-figure wasn't as repulsive and shocking as they wanted.  I rather liked the rock star 'who gives a damn' flamboyance of Bukk*ke, but maybe that wasn't the point of the piece .  Maybe Electric Monarchy is back from the drawing boards with vengeance in a plain white box.

Candie Bolton X Electric Monarchy! Magical Girl Bukk*ke!

Let's talk about a complete shock today.

I'm bored at work, just watching the week slowly come to an end, and I'm going through my phone.  I'm wondering if the wild and crazy news that's already happened this week is really all this week will see.  That would be completely fine.  With October Toys' OTMFG package of puzzles and Onell Design's Bit Fig hitting online shops, I can't really say it was a boring one.  Then, out of the blue, Electric Monarchy crashes the scene and drops another hot news nugget all over the place.  Now I have to get a mop and I fear my work uniform is ruined.

This time our update comes in form of a new collaborative effort between some really amazing artists.  Electric Monarchy's Bukk*ke keshi mini-figure is now experiencing a remix and limited edition variant through the lens of Candie Bolton, who I've covered once before.  Dubbed the 'Magical Girl' version of this glob of love, we are met with an extreme wave of sparkle and glitz across the color spectrum, with some anime-inspired paint applications.

Candie Bolton is a masterful artist and her sculpting skills alone are worth keeping her on your radar, however I have to sadly admit I lost track of her.  I had covered some mini-figures she had designed, but was saddened to hear they were going to be made with sofubi instead of keshi or resin.  Maybe I mistakenly felt that was her preference, and that's where loose ends never got picked back up.  I am very excited to be captured again by her, and with the Bukk*ke mini-figure is even more of a treat.

This mini-figure interests me in a great deal.  I'm under the assumption this variant is a harder resin cast, but there a ton of different and distinguishable colors within.  Each drip seems to be a different equal color.  I am certainly completely ignorant to exactly how this is pulled off without the mass of mixed color blending too much into a shiny brown, so this may have to be something to examine closer with a review in the future.

This collaboration was a pleasant update for sure, but the real shocker is that Magical Girl Bukk*ke goes for sale TONIGHT 6:00pm PST on Candie Bolton's website.  I have no news to how many there are of this, but I can't imagine there is enough for you to wait.  The Glow In Dark variant is completely sold out, and if you missed it, now is your chance to redeem yourself.

Electric Monarchy's Figure 01 Bukk*ke Review!

Yo!  What's going on, everyone?  Enjoying these brutal heat waves yet?  Yeah, I didn't think so, but that's not why we're hanging out today.  Instead, let's dive into another keshi mini-figure review.

Full disclosure first, because even though I can be both an idiot and a jerk, not always at different times, I want to, at the very least be transparent.  I received this gooey ball of love free of charge from my friends in Germany.  I don't think that particularly affected my opinion in any way, but if you do think it could have, you're entitled to it and proceed with that in mind.  Hopefully you're entertained all the same.

Last month I covered the release of Electric Monarchy's first keshi mini-figure called Bukk*ke.  If you're are somehow the last human connected to the Internet to still be confused by my poor attempts of censorship, pick a vowel and google search it... at home.  Keshi Drop is not held responsible for what you google search on work computers.  But past all that, I encourage you to go back and check out that past article.  I had covered it's release info, but I also briefly mentioned how I really enjoyed something, in concept at least, that pushes the boundaries and makes people feel emotions or take a second look to digest.  And furthermore, can keshi mini-figures be an art platform powerful enough to change a mind or a feeling.  Could someone's mind be changed through keshi?  Could someone be repulsed and then pulled back?  Or aroused and then chilled?  I think there are as many cases in the world as there are people, so I certainly don't have the entire picture, but I wonder if that was the idea all along with Bukk*ke.

Bukk*ke is a two inch Glow In the Dark rubber resin mini-figure designed by Fint, produced by Tru;Tek, and sold through the ArtWhore web-store, but the real question is - does Bukk*ke stand up?  Whatever goals this gross little goop has, does it accomplish them?  Ultimately, I want you to go to the ArtWhore web-store yourself and take away your own opinions, but if you're here for Crazy Uncle SpiderEarth's I won't leave you empty handed.

This figure is solid has hell.  Even at height of two inches, something that's not terribly out of convention, Bukk*ke is a thick beast on all three dimensions.  Slug molded and static, just like the great Keshi Lords wanted, this guy doesn't turn paper thin when posed to the side.  Even without joints and articulation, you can put this monstrosity in a number of lively angles that work just well.  He's just a bulky, sloshing, beast trudging through, no matter how he's displayed.

Some people could say a dripping blob sculpt could leave more to be desired, but I would suggest a closer look.  There's indeed a shape and a character, or at least there once was, but with each step, seemingly another chunk of something wet and loose slips off the frame.  So challenge yourself.  What was it before and what is it after?  Or is there nothing under there at all?  Have you caught yourself interested or intrigued?  Pulled into curiosities surrounding something otherwise disgusting?  Was it the shapely cute character frame or gentle color choice?  Are you now worried you're too far into thinking about a sperm monster and hoping you remember where the mental exit door was?  If so, or something like that, I don't think you're alone at all.

If only Bukk*ke was a tad more subtle, it would be a powerful bait and switch piece, trapping the audience and demanding a reaction before anyone were the wiser, but as it stands now it's a wrecking ball of resin.  Maybe it never wanted to surprise you.  Maybe it wanted to knock down your door and demand your attention.  It was going to be the focal point.  It was going to be the conversation starter and there would be no way around it.  Then after some time, you'll wonder how something like Bukk*ke ruled your day.  You'll just stand there wondering what else Germany has in store, because after Bukk*ke, like me, you're interested.

A Keshi Drop thumbs up from me everyone.  Go to the link below to purchase yours.  There are still some left, as well as some other goods, so show some love and support and let's help Figure 01 grow into higher digits.

Grossed-Out 9: The Ooze Who Loved Me!

What an exciting few days it's been for fans of gross mini-figures.  I've been very happy with the news of the resurrection of The Trash Pack, but I know I might be Crazy Uncle SpiderEarth on that.  I know, for unexplained reasons and exceptions, I enjoy trashies and will likely enjoy The Grossery Gang more than I really should.  I know there are glaring contradictions to the keshi purist side of my reptile brain, like the paint, the soft material, and the scale, all of which I've blasted other toy lines for committing, but trashies get the pass.  I feel ya' and I have no idea why.  I've pretty much conceded the fact trashies are lucky to cover a couple nostalgic bases, by complete accident, and others unfairly reap the wrath of some stupid guy on the Internet.

I bring this up, because now I am wondering what if trashies checked off more purist boxes?  They still aren't, of course, but someone else is for them.  Electric Monarchy is, to be exact, with the introduction of this two inch, monochromatic, unpainted, resin -rubber, blob of a beast, called...  something I am sure Blogger will not allow me to spell out but is displayed in the picture above.  Sculpted by Macsorro, produced by Tru:Tek, and spurting out for sale all over the ArtWh*re web-store, this disgusting little thing has certainly won Keshi Drop's Golden 'Stay Right There And Let Me Get You A Towel' Award for Loud, Rude, and Exciting Art.

That's exactly how I feel about this piece too.  I admit, I feel a bit regret having to censor myself and having to pick and choose words when using a public forum like this, because this is art in every sense of the word.  It captures your attention, your imagination, and instills certain feels, albeit uncomfortable (pronouncing that how you wish) in the audience.  Whether that's a glowing happy place or some sort of repulsion or anything in between, a two inch rubber mini-figure did that, and that sort of powerful witchcraft is pretty much reserved to art and powerful ex-girlfriend witchcraft.

Dripping and dropping Saturday, June 25th, (exact time to be announced) you'll have first whack at this guy's release that includes the pictured figure, a free mystery figure, a signed card, and a sticker.  Check out the link below!
